White shrimps are decadop crustaceous smaller than langoustines. Their abdomens are bigger than their heads and they are really developed including two legs lines. Their shell, instead, is weak and flexible and they have lateral long stitches. Their main characteristic is their white colour and taste. Normally, they weight between 7 and 25 grams.

Habitat

White shrimps live principally in the Mediterranean Sea and the South Atlantic Ocean in their sandy bottoms over 500 meters of profundity. This animal is born as a male and after 2 or 4 years changes its sex. They often reproduce in August and September.

Fishing

They are usually captured during the whole year and using mostly fishing nets.
